I like to focus my work in community engagement, education, and building strong interpersonal relationships. My work in the Albuquerque area has been focused on providing training and technical assistance on quality improvement methodology to improve clinical outcomes, quality measures, and safety across the health care continuum. As an improvement advisor, I have also assisted in providing assessments, education and recommendations on disease prevention to long term care facilities. For the past 5 years, I have provided training to IHS leadership and staff in the model of Just Culture to empower and encourage reporting adverse events. I am committed to tribal work, leveraging my Mescalero Apache heritage to contribute to cultural awareness.
