As a freelance Italian teacher, I always try to tailor my approach to meet each student's specific needs and learning goals. I typically apply the inductive method, guiding students from examples to rules, though I adapt when students prefer to start with grammar first. I use authentic materials, or "realia," rather than traditional textbooks to give learners a more realistic view of the language and its cultural context. My lessons emphasize all four core language skills—reading, writing, listening, and speaking—unless a student wishes to focus on one area, such as conversational practice.
