On April 3, 2010, UC Berkeley gathered world leading thinkers and doers to host the first East Bay TEDx (a 501c3) As Director of Public Relations for TEDxBerkeley, my responsibilities include working with conference directors on messaging and goals for the conference, directing volunteers for media outreach, and working directly with reporters and editors attending the conference.About TED and TEDxTED is an annual event where the world’s leading thinkers and doers are invited to share what they are most passionate about. “TED” stands for Technology, Entertainment, Design – three broad subject areas that are, collectively, shaping our future. And in fact, the event is broader still, showcasing ideas that matter in any discipline.
