Five years ago I left my position as Executive. Since then I enjoy working as Operating Partner or Adviser to CEOs and Boards, with an operational and results oriented focus and mostly in sectors in which I have experience: FMCG, Retail, Logistics, Foodservice and Fitness-Sports. My contribution is a combination of focusing on short-term results, helping key executives, and driving a transformational and strategic approach, to build the future of each company in its competitive ground.I am usually hired by owners, investors or the CEO himself. My day to day is one of involvement and hands-on, going into detail, solving problems and delivering results and improvements together with the team. I understand their concerns and needs and how they feel in their complex day-to-day, and I know how I can help them since I have been there for many years.I have a solid track record as CEO as well as Board member, either in family-owned companies or in projects with private equity partners. I have been involved in Retail, Hospitality, Sports and Consumer Goods, with proven strategic and operational experience, since early 90’s.I led La Sirena, the leading frozen food-retailer brand in Spain, for more than 10 years. I was hired in 2008 by 3i, the PE firm, and pushed for its transformation just as Spain was entering the crisis. In 2012, I led a Management Buy-Out and acquired the business, leading an ambitious plan that saved it. The company more than doubled EBITDA in 3 years, reduced debt and improved its balance sheet to the most solid of the previous 13 years. Of those 10 years, intense and with endless ups and downs, I wrote a book, "Bichos Rojos en Navidad”, in which I share most of the learnings and all the experiences. Prior to La Sirena, I was CFO and CHRO at Condis Supermercats (Food Retail) for 7 years, later of working as CFO at La Piara (Food Producer) for 5 years. I began my career at Price Waterhouse (PwC) after graduating in business and MBA at ESADE (Barcelona). In 2008 I obtained the PDG of the IESE Business School. Entrepreneur, with proven experience in leading businesses’ development and continuous improvement, change management and revenue growth.
