• Managed CPC’s advocacy actions among 700 staff to further CPC’s annual policy & advocacy priorities, and institutionalized a culture of advocacy across CPC.
• Created advocacy training curriculums, and pilot the organization-wide Advocacy Advisory Council, which engages a group of CPC front line staff to become seasoned advocates and to lead CPC’s advocacy campaigns.
• Led CPC’s annual multi-lingual State and City Advocacy Days, attended by more than 100 NY legislators, 2000 CPC staff and community members. CPC’s advocacy event structures are models in the advocate community, and.
• Coordinated with coalitions, legislators, and partners across NY to fight for immigrant, healthcare, and economic justice.

• Steered advocacy on issues on the NYS and NYC levels that affect Asian American low-income community members daily.
• Produced and translated public statements, resource guides, and fact sheets on complex policies across NYC and NYS landscapes and analyzed its impact on Asian-American, immigrant, and low-income communities.
• Maintained partnerships with city and statewide coalitions, elected officials, CPC staff, and community members.

• Managed a high school youth-led Sugary Drinks social media campaign that was the first large scale social media campaign across CPC.
• Piloted a six-week long Youth Health Advocacy Program for six high school students, and mentored them to create a three-year advocacy campaign.
• Administered a newly granted HIV prevention Evidence Based Program for more than 150 East Asian high school students.
• Created new curricula and led workshops on topics of financial literacy, healthy life skills, and healthy relationships.

Collaborated with a multidisciplinary team to maintain a caseload of 68 clients who experience severe mental health conditions and have fallen out of care with traditional mental healthcare institutions.

CITC aims to increase the national presence and visibility of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AA and NHPI) community-based organizations and emerging leaders, and bridge the gap between local and federal policy advocacy.
