I am a professor at the Dept. of Electronic Engineering of Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, and an Associate Researcher at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center, where I am the leader of the Synthesis and Physical Design of ICs group. My technical area of expertise is Integrated Circuit Design, and my current research interests are: low power computing with approximate arithmetic in neural networks; computing approaches other than Von Neumann's such as neuromorphic computing; adaptive circuits for low power.I am a Senior member of the IEEE, affiliated to the Circuits and Systems and the Solid State Circuits Societies. As of january 2022, I act as the Secretary of the IEEE Spanish Chapter of the Circuits and Systems Society.
