Teaching activity for "Instrumental analytical techniques"

- Energy diagnosis of both public and private buildings, energy consumption analysis, technical-economic analysis of energy saving improvements and investment evaluation.- Integrated design approach and BIM modeling.

Acquisition of technical, specialist and economic skills related to design solutions that minimize the use of electricity required in road tunnels, highlighting the economic savings achieved over the useful life of the work. The solutions adopted have been studied from an energy point of view in such a way that they are environmentally, economically and socially sustainable, making the system almost completely independent from the electricity supply. The possibility of using natural lighting combined with renewable electricity production systems - photovoltaic - was analyzed, able to meet the overall energy needs almost entirely. The first step was to evaluate the correct lighting necessary to ensure, inside the tunnel, the performances required by current legislation (UNI 11095); subsequently we moved on to the estimation of the lighting performance in the various design solutions, with the aim of seeking an optimization of a technical, economic and environmental nature, which goes beyond the solutions suggested by the design practice. The proposed design solution, called "Photovoltaic lighting pre-gallery", exploits natural light as a renewable source, making it possible to make the lighting system almost completely independent from the electricity grid, thus reducing installation and management costs, so such as to obtain significant environmental and economic benefits.

Collaboration on various projects- Executive project for modernization and adaptation works of various road sections;- Executive design of the roundabout;- Public works projects, surveys with total station and GPS, drafting of estimates, descriptive and performance specifications, drafting of the safety and coordination plan;- Design and construction management of various civil engineering works, in particular roads, slope stability, retaining walls in reinforced earth and gabion walls;- Surveys on site by GPS station and total station;- Design and construction management of the urbanization works of a residential complex consisting of 78 terraced houses.

Technical collaboration- Feasibility study and design of photovoltaic and solar thermal systems for both public and private buildings;- Evaluation of the energy performance of both public and private buildings.

The internship was included in a European project, called "cRRescendo" (Combined Rational and Renewable Energy Strategies in Cities, for Existing and New Dwellings and Optimal quality of life) which provides for the exchange, between different European municipalities , experiences and implementation methods to create structures and systems in full agreement with a sustainable model.At the end of the internship surveys, the results obtained for an urban area were presented regarding the energy qualification of buildings and the habits of citizens on the rational use of energy in the context of a community project, the topics covered in this area were:- view the legislative panorama regarding the reduction of energy consumption and the energy certification of buildings;- evaluate the prerogatives of the materials and construction methods aimed at reducing the energy losses of the building envelopes;- estimate the economic convenience to insert solar thermal and photovoltaic systems in the building's plant system;- learn methods and software to be able to energetically classify buildings, as required by Legislative Decree 192/05 and subsequent amendments.
