I am currently a member of the UniPR Racing Team, a student racing team from the University of Parma that competes in the formula SAE. This year, the team has decided to challenge the autonomous driving category, this is a very ambitious and exciting project, that requires advanced skills in electronic engineering, computer science and telecommunications. I am part of the autonomous driving division, and I am responsible for perception, 3D object detection, data fusion and computer vision, which are the technologies that enable the car to recognize the surrounding environment and to make appropriate decisions.

During my activity, I have taught various courses of mathematics, physics and computer science, ranging from basic to advanced level, to different age groups and learning needs.

I was a trainee student at the University of Parma, where I did my laboratory internship in photonics and electromagnetic fields, in order to write my thesis about EDFA. During my internship, I performed various experiments on optical fibers and photonic integrated circuits, using Matlab toolbox and nonlinear optics techniques. I also used laboratory equipment such as OSA, optical fibers, lasers, etc. I analyzed the data and the results, and I wrote a report and a presentation of my work.

I participated in various school-work alternation activities during my high school years, which allowed me to acquire cross-curricular skills and to orient myself towards my study and work path. These activities included:1. Mathematics tutor at Liceo Scientifico Attilio Bertolucci (Jun 2019 - Jun 2021): I helped other students to improve their mathematical skills and to prepare for exams, using interactive and engaging methods.2. Research analyst at Alma Mater Studiorum - University of Bologna (Sep 2015 - Sep 2018): I was involved in the European project Catcheyou, which aimed at investigating young people’s views of the EU and their role in building the EU through their participatory practices2. I collected and analyzed data, and I contributed to the dissemination of the results.3. Trainee student at the University of Parma (Jun 2017): I did a summer internship in mathematics and computer science at the department of mathematics, where I learned the basics of programming, algorithms, and logic.
