I graduated in Agro-Industrial Biotechnology at the University of Verona (2006) and obtained my PhD in Plant Biology and Production at the University of Milan (2010) in collaboration with Foundation E. Mach - Research and Innovation Centre (FEM-San Michele all'Adige, Trento). My research activity has been focused on plant genetics and genomics with the aim to dissect the genetic basis of complex agronomic traits and to improve breeding activities by developing genetic markers to be used in MAS (Marker Assisted Selection). I worked on different crops: grapevine and grape rootstocks to improve fruit quality and drought resistance (FEM and University of Milan 2010-2014), in maize to dissect juvenile transition and flowering time (University of Bologna 2014-2016) and soft fruits (fruit quality and plant phenology) (FEM 2016-2019). I am currently working as raspberry and blackberry breeder in Berrytech. I am a persistent person with strong orientation on goals. I am flexible person, conformable with working on my own or as a part of the team. I am already used to work on different projects, coordinating PhD students and team activities, field operations, and data analysis.
