Since 1997 I have been working full-time in the field of Transport Planning in Italy and abroad. This allowed me to deal with various issues concerning transport studies and transport plans on several scales, from the urban to the regional, national and supranational scale, both for public and private clients. Mainly the studies were related to the planning and evaluation of major infrastructure projects, such as highways, underground metro, light rail and tramway, urban sustainable mobility plans, public transport plans, traffic impact assessment, forecast of passenger and freight demand, innovative transport systems such as electric and autonomous vehicles. These studies were mainly supported by predictive simulations using transport simulation models. I also acquired a thorough understanding of economic and financial assessment of transport system interventions funded by the European Community.In 2016 I’ve been involved, as transport expert, in two strategic masterplans elaborated by the economist Jeremy Rifkin concerning “the third industrial revolution” of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and of the region of Rotterdam and the Haugue.From 2002 to 2011, I have been consultant of Systematica SpA firm where I’ve directed the local headquarters of Cagliari. In 2012 I was co-founder of the company "Mlab srl”, an engineering firm specialized in planning and feasibility studies of transport systems, where I've been the Sole Administrator until April 2024.I’m also collaborating with the Centre of Research on Mobility Models of the University of Cagliari (CIREM) and the chair of "Transport Planning" of the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Cagliari where I held seminars in transport planning and provided tutoring activities, and with.I'm currently a lecturer for the discipline Transport Planning SSD ICAR05 at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Cagliari and Member of the Council of the Order of Engineers of the Province of Cagliari.I was co-editor of a chapter in the Almanac of the Architect (2012) edited by Renzo Piano on accessibility analysis methodologies using the GIS tool.
