In Medea, I am learning how to become an efficient and results-driven organic project manager. Following the course of life of many European Commission-founded projects in the social and healthcare domain, by actively contributing to the coordination of tasks and work packages teams, mainly dedicated at achieving the maximization of the impact (exploitation and dissemination) of the solutions we are proposing, I am strongly committed in working together with international partners, bringing pivotal innovation waves to the healthcare sector.With a particular focus on applying Machine Learning and AI-driven techniques for boosting the validation, adoption and sustainability of those proposed solutions.

During my period of stage in Orthokey, I was in charge of introducing my working team to the core topic of a qualitative-based data collection, in order to focus on the relevant information to be pointed out for present and future surveys. This topic was actually realized through sample recruitment simulations and an implementation of the data collection, visualization and validation dashboard which the company shares with its European partners in social and health care projects.Moreover, given the socio-assistance environment my colleagues are operating in, I considered critical to propose them the Causal wing of Statistical Inference. It would be crucial, indeed, for effective investigations regarding those experimental projects, to detect the causal effect of a treatment on the objective population, with respect to other control units; thus, focusing on Randomized Control Trials in order to detect proofs of evidence. This would be a reliable procedure by first building up a careful design phase of the study, which indeed consistently reflects the first topic faced.

ACTIVAGE (Activating InnoVative iot smart living environments for AGEing well) is one of the leading projects that supports services destined to an Active and Healthy Ageing - AHA.Medea, the company that hosted me during the stage, during the lifespan of ACTIVAGE (ended in 2020), was in charge of evaluating the sustainability of the project, financed by the European Commission through the 'European Innovation Partnership in Active and Healthy Ageing (EIP on AHA)'.During the stage I faced the issue of missing data by applying multiple imputation, and then evaluating the associations between demographic information and ACTIVAGE Use Cases and seniors quality of life, through random trees machine learning approaches.
