Hi, I am Francesco Alimena, born in Rome, Italy.I have gained experience in Public Affairs & Communications at Bayern Chemie (an MBDA Company) and in Italy at AB Group.I interned at the NATO Security Force Assistance Centre of Excellence in Cesano (Italy) at the Doctrine Development & Standards Branch. Here, I held the role of Project Coordinator for the realisation of the book “Out Thinking on NATO 2022 Strategic Concept,”  a project born from a conference entitled “NATO Strategic Concept 2022: current and future challenges,”  organised in July 2022 at the NATO SFACOE together with Confassociazionioni Young World (International Branch of young people belonging to Confassociazioni - Confederazione Associazioni Professionali). The project involved experts from NATO, the diplomatic world, the private sector and geopolitical analysts.On an academic level, I obtained a Bachelor's degree with honours in Interpreting and Translation (English, German and Russian) at the SSML Gregorio VII University in Rome.I completed a Master's degree with honours in International Relations (in English) at the LUMSA University in Rome.I completed a 2nd level Master's degree in Experts in Politics and International Relations at the LUMSA University of Rome, winning a Rome Foundation Scholarship.I obtained a Master's in Diplomacy at the Institute for International Policy Studies (ISPI - Milan).I have gained study experiences abroad at the Technische Universität Dresden (Germany - Erasmus) and the Russian language and culture at the Herzen State Pedagogical University, Saint Petersburg (Russia).I am Vice Chairman of the European Democrat Students (the official student organisation of the European People's Party). I have a policy portfolio in Defence & Security. Within the organisation, I am also the responsible of BullsEye Magazine - the in-house magazine of the European Democrat Students. Since 2021, I have served as President of Confassociazioni Young World - an international branch within Confassociazioni comprising young people from three continents. We aim to foster cultural and professional exchange between young people and experts from all sectors.
