The aim of the study was to identify the interconnection point, the best HVDC technology to be used and the critical scenarios.● Feasibility analysis of the reinforcement of the Montenegro – Italy HVDC interconnection. Statical & Dynamical network analysis of the Montenegro’s HV network, in multiple load/generation scenarios, to evaluate whether adding the new HVDC pole would create overloads. Statistical analysis (mainly using Pandas and Numpy) of the ENTSO – E powerload dataset to determine the most representative load/generation snapshots. ● Analysis of the control system of the Italy – France HVDC interconnection to ensure compliance with the technical requirements and to validate its dynamical behaviour.
