My current role at the University of Utah involves developing a standardized toolkit and framework for the assessment of vehicles' HMI. Such toolkit (object of a patent application) is used for the assessment of the HMI of a large number of vehicles - different OEM, makes and trim levels. Investigating the User Experience in vehicles with NHTSA level 2 autonomous features and developing new ways to make the user interaction more effective and pleasant for the user represent a major focus of my research.
