As a consequence of the positive ITSoftware S.p.A. | The Technancial Company Ltd results, more specifically with the JANUS product suite, the company has been acquired and the incorporated by List S.p.A.In the meantime List S.p.A has become part of the ION Group, further strengthening the opportunity for the JANUS product suite to be part of a wide offering of software products that enable financial institutions, central banks and corporations to digitize and automate their most business critical processes.The whole people structure I managed in IT Software has been maintained in List, within the Technology department, and I’ve been appointed as Director of Risk Management Product Line.In addition to my previous duties I supervise the integration of the JANUS product suite within the List and ION product portfolio

Software Development is one of the best examples of the concept of Sociotechnical systems, so I’ve primarily interpreted my role as the responsability for the overall well-being of the Software Development Department, focusing on the following activities:1) increasing the delivery capability through appropriate organizational structure and policies;2) coordinating with the Head of Operation to increase overall company performances;3) reporting to the CEO and the Company Board to ensure alignment between the Company strategy and the Software Development Department objectives (goals cascade).As part of my duties I've dealt with:- teams' structure and staffing;- definition of policies to increase agility and sustained flow of features to keep our Products ahead of the competition;- promoting an healthy balance between revenues-related work and experimentation and assessment of new technologies;- fostering intra-team communities (QA, Architecture, UX/UI etc);- ensuring access to appropriate supporting tools and platforms;- people management to leverage individual inclination and keeping intrinsic motivation and engagement high;- department budgeting and cost accounting.Facts and figures:- 5 Teams;- 2 “Products Suites” and 8 Products;- 20-35 people (including outsourced staff), 8 nationalities;- Teams located in Milan, Hong Kong, Warsaw.
