About Francesco Lais

My passion for economics and in particular for finance has pushed me towards a fascinating bachelor degree in Business Administration at the Universitá degli Studi Roma TRE until 2016. Due to my strong interest in Corporate Finance I decided to continue my studies by completing a 2-year specialisation in Finance and by carrying out a final thesis on business valuation in collaboration with Prof. Arduini, professor in the chair of Business Valuations, and Professor Banal Estañol, director of the Master in Corporate Finance and Banking at Pompeu Fabra University, Barcelona. My final work has seen the valuation of a wine company listed on the Spanish Stock Exchange (IBEX35). During my first months in Barcelona for my thesis I took my first steps in the M&A field at ILV SILVER where I am currently working on Business Valuations, Transaction Services and M&A mandates, for any sector. Our analysis are directed to Venture Capital, Private Equity, Search Funds as well as to industrial investors. In tandem with my professional carreer I have ventured into the academic circle with great pleasure as an Assistant Professor in the chair of SFS analysis and Business Valuation (Professor Arduini) at Universitá degli Studi Roma TRE. In 2021 we have drafted a paper for IFKAD, "The impact of the Covid-related recession on Italian wineries".
