I moved from Italy to New York City in 1995 where I worked in the publishing, News-photo and IT fields. After a tortuous return to my home country (via living and working in Poland, Costa Rica, Namibia, Japan), in 2006 I decided to set sail for a round the world cruise on my own boat, the Keturah. After 40000+ miles and seven years at sea, my wife and I found ourselves working in the Caribbean and Mediterranean as a Captain/Chef-Stewardess team (2014-2022). After over fifteen solid years at sea and a lifetime of involvement in the maritime environment, I am well versed in all aspects of running and maintaining a variety of sailboats (classics, cruisers, catamarans) as well as having acquired a wide-ranging knowledge and understanding of electrical and mechanical systems. Due to family issues (newborn) I am unable to leave for extended periods abroad, so I am looking for temporary/freelance/rotational gigs in the Mediterranean or to reconnect with my previous experiences as proofreader/quality control/translator. My natural curiosity means that I am also open to new experiences wherever I can apply and grow my skills.
