ZooShare is developing North America’s 1st zoo-based biogas plant. It will recycle local food waste and manure from the Toronto Zoo into renewable power for the Ontario grid. This process will reduce GHGs by the equivalent of 10,000 tonnes of C02 each year, and will return valuable nutrients to the soil in the form of a high-quality fertilizer. Sales:➢ Researched, developed & implemented a Strategic Plan to attain organisational goals of raising $4.4M. ➢ Researched and cultivated the target market, doubling the supporter base in 2.5 years.➢ As the primary contact for summer staff, media and 700+ investors, managed relationships of all levels.➢ Facilitated and/or attended 200 events in 2.5 years, interacting with the public as the “face of ZooShare”.➢ Organized several events, including AGMs, board meetings and celebratory events (such as our project site groundbreaking, which required liaising with City and provincial staff, media, partners and stakeholders).➢ In collaboration with partners in the sector, developed the Community Bond Showcase to increase local engagement and understanding of investment opportunities in renewable energy projects.Marketing:➢ Lead the redesign of the ZooShare website. Updated and maintained the Wordpress site as needed.➢ Managed the Marketing budget and invoicing related to communications projects.➢ Coordinated social media campaigns and updated Twitter and Facebook daily.➢ Implemented paid Facebook campaigns and a Goggle Ads campaign➢ Wrote monthly blog content to increase rich-content and SEO of website.➢ Wrote monthly newsletters and used Mailchimp to segment 3,000 newsletter subscribers into meaningful groups (for specific communiqué).➢ Tracked monthly website and social media statistics, analyzed data and presented the results to the Board of Directors.➢ Designed marketing materials such as banners, signage, postcards, business cards and investment materials.
