Joy of Print creates special, custom-designed prints for strategic partners and collaborates with established brands to explore the potential of their own print archives.I am approachable, efficient and passionate about good print design, with excellent drawing and Photoshop skills, I have a feminine yet versatile hand, taking pride in my work. As well as a passion for creating original artworks, I have extensive experience designing from archive material, breaking down and re-colouring vintage artworks.

Studio InternNew Kid - Made In Italy Jan 2016 - Mar 2016Florence Area, ItalyManaged the testing of fabric dyes, colour mixing and matching, hand dying and hand painting of fabrics for the S/S 16 and A/W 16 apparel collections.Shadowed the creative director across the complete production process. This included liaison with the Italian factories and direct participation in the development of the outsole and heel for the A/W 16 boot.Made my own pair of shoes to gain personal experience of the commercial processes for shoe design, development and manufacturing. Designed and created the ‘Tassle Lace’ photography set for NewKid’s website and publicity. Edited photographs for commercial use.Reevaluated aesthetic and functional aspects of NewKid studio organisation from a fresh perspective and created a leather swatch book for the bespoke ‘made to order’ business.

This design was selected for womenswear apparel and accessories within the Laura Ashley collection.Managed the preparation of the Eley Kishimoto wallpaper book for Decorex.Pattern copying, fabric cutting and component preparation for A/W 15 Fashion collection.Managed stock selection, shop set-up and sales at the annual Eley Kishimoto sample sale.Seeing my designs go into production has fuelled my desire to be a commercial designer reaching a rich and varied audience.

My internship at Patternity opened my eyes to how everyday objects can inspire and innovate diverse design. -
