The objective for me always remains the same: invest my time and energy in work that results in a positive impact to those around me. Over the years this has meant spending time in a variety of industries, with a common underlying theme of enabling success through learning, teamwork, collaboration and communication. Whether it's training, leadership development, project management, or renewable energy, my focus is always on locating gaps and adding value.I engaged with Solar Power Network to contribute to Ontario's elimination of coal as a part of our energy mix, and to assist Japan with their energy requirements in a post-Fukushima context. Ontario closed its last coal plant in April, 2014 - so amazing! As of the fall of 2014, Japan has contracted over 50GW (that's gigawatts!) of solar. At Potentia, I have worked with the team to engineer and construct over 400 rooftop solar projects on Ontario schools. Not only are we contributing to a greater amount of solar in our provincial energy mix, we are offering our kids a first-hand look at renewable energy. I wonder, what will they make of it all?
