The Sustainability Science and Innovation team is a research and development team focused on locating and implementing science-based sustainability initiatives across Amazon's businesses. I led the sustainability research science and product teams to identify opportunities and influence business strategy towards more sustainable solutions for our customers. My team developed methodology, measures and embedded environmental and social impacts into existing business processes, with a focus on carbon, green chemistry, sustainable materials, sustainable shopping, and making sustainability data widely available to anyone interested in understanding earth systems, climate and weather.

Cohort 5 completed study in Washington, Montana, and the Cascadia region at large. My research and final proposal centered on Climate, Environmental Justice, and innovation. "Using human creativity and scientific innovation, we can ensure those most adversely impacted by climate change have durable and viable alternatives in energy, access, and policy."
