My career includes years of experience helping business units ensure their systems work properly. I do so by verifying, testing, and identifying data and reporting discrepancies, often across multiple systems; working with the business teams in gathering and articulating their needs, and then serving as the liaison between the business and programmers to create business-critical information systems. These systems have enhanced reporting and productivity and provided the businesses with invaluable information used to isolate trends in sales, cash flow, and inventory shrinkage. In addition, I have significant expertise in reviewing, improving and standardizing operating procedures across organizations with as many as 500 locations. In combination with both systems and process implementation, I enjoying teaching others, always approach training by sharing the “whys” and derive great satisfaction when the training “clicks”. I began in Accounting while in college and although I have an aptitude for it, found that the singular emphasis on the numbers was not my passion. I transitioned to information technology where I enjoyed the logic and automation that computers afford people and businesses. Combining the two areas has evolved into a natural fit for me-where I can use my education and experience to help bridge and serve as a business partner for many functional areas in several capacities.
