I was responsible for checking all the summonses, default judgments, cancellation of sales in execution, warrants of execution, warrants of attachment and settlement agreements for all the unopposed foreclosures after four legal secretaries and two drafters did all the preceding work.

I tutored Business Law 210 and Business Law 220 in the large 600-seater Thuto 1-2 lecture hall. During the 2020 academic year, I transitioned to conducting the tutorials online. My responsibilities primarily involved bookkeeping up to the trial balance stage using Excel, Pastel, and eFiling. As an accredited South African Association of Mediators (“SAAM”) mediator, I mediated between divorcing parties in order to reach a fair consensus/outcome regarding the division of assets, spousal maintenance, child maintenance, care and contact with children and the details of the parenting plan.Reason for leaving: Sourcing new divorcing clients who want to mediate rather than litigate was very time-consuming. I was not able to source sufficient and continuous new work to justify the overheads and earn a modest income. I therefore commenced my employment at Inzalo Business Services in November 2017.

I completed the academic syllabus but not the full 200 hours of practicum (academic transcript is attached below). As part of my practicum, I developed the "Smart Sam Literacy-cum-Emotional Intelligence-cum-Anti-Abuse Program" (program is attached hereto). This entailed: (1) doing extensive research into all the anti-abuse and emotional intelligence and literacy programs available globally, comparing them and synthesizing the crucial elements to form the Smart Sam program; (2) contracting a cartoon artist to design the first five cartoon characters of the program. and (3) presenting the first part of the program at Nellmapius Primary School.

I counselled pupils as part of my 200 hrs practicum (not completed) for the BA Psychology (Pastoral) (NQF7).
