Well-known for my ability to build innovative teams, communities and cultures across multiple sectors, disciplines and geographic regions. Frequently hired to facilitate workshops and cross-division off-sites for global companies; to lecture at major universities (Stanford, Santa Clara University Leavey School of Business, and University of Texas- Infotech); and provide executive coaching to leaders.My work centers around efforts to foster creativity and innovation in organizations with a focus on building strong corporate cultures, improving team dynamics, and recognizing the positive impact of diverse knowledge and experience in generating and implementing innovations. Of special interest is helping women leaders see themselves as innovative, encouraging them to expand their risk-taking and modeling their actions on those of successful innovators. Closely tied to this work is earlier research on perfectionism, which tends to impact women more often then men, and often negatively impacts their sense of confidence.Some sample projects include: * Worked with cross-functional leadership teams of Japanese-based global companies to develop innovative and actionable ideas to benefit their organizations. Industries represented include pharmaceutical, chemical and heavy industrial goods.* In conjunction with leadership teams, developed assessments of their corporate cultures to understand what supports or undermines innovation within their global companies.* Consulted with Silicon Valley based companies regarding the retention and advancement of women.* Provided group and individual coaching for women to improve cross-gender communication, assertiveness, risk-taking and executive presence.* Facilitated teams in utilizing innovation tools and techniques to stimulate new ideas for products, processes, or services.

Organizer of the annual TEDxBayAreaWomen event, with attendance ranging from 200-400, featuring presenters from non-profits, government, corporate and startups. In addition to securing and coordinating all 18-20 presenters each year, raised funding for the event. Past presenters have included Kay Koplovitz (founder and former CEO of USA Networks and co-founder of Springboard); Vivek Wadwa (Singularity University and contributor to Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, and Forbes); Kara Swisher (co-founder of All Things D); Shaherose Charania (CEO & Founder of Women 2.0); Ann Winblad (venture capitalist); Debra Bowen (California Secretary of State).

Established new program for SVForum focusing on advancement of women in technology and fostering interest in technology for middle school girls. Monthly speaker series features authors, executives and entrepreneurs and attracts attendees from across the Bay Area who are interested in advancing their careers and developing themselves as women leaders. Responsible for leading Silicon Valley chapter of non-profit organization supporting advancement of women in technology and fostering interest of girls and young women in science and technology. Most successful of all chapters measured by membership and revenue.
