 Preparing bill of quantities and materials schedule; Supervising activities of Assistant Quantity Surveyors and Quantity Surveying Technicians; Analysing and preparing unit rates and prices for all constructional activities including unit rates and prices for optional features and other works during construction; Assisting Project Directors in assessing the financial effects of changes in the contract documents that may be deemed necessary for the completion of the Works/Installation; Performing all site measurement of completed or partial works where required for the determination of quantities and vetting of contractors, subcontractors and artisans statement of works; Computing quantities of approved and accepted work and materials and preparing interim and final payment certificates; Valuation of variations; Preparation of valuation and payment certificates for works properly executed by contractors, subcontractors and artisans; Advising the Project Management Team on all contractual issues; Assist in evaluation of tenders and making recommendation for contract award; Preparation of tender and contract documents; Assessing and advising on Contractor’s claims and compensation; Assisting the Project Directors to monitor and control the cost of the Works/Installation; Preparing periodic financial reports and forecasts showing whether the project is being executed within the contract sums and if costs are being exceeded, what remedial measures are to be taken; Studying the effects of statutory changes on the contract prices and advising Project Directors on measures to be taken to accommodate such changes; Assisting in the preparation of penultimate and final certificates. Performing all other tasks not specifically mentioned above, but which are necessary and essential to successfully supervise and control all construction activities in accordance with the terms of the construction contract.
