Chairman of the Software Review Board (SRB) that dispositions all Software Trouble Reports (STRs), responsible for all boarding, review and status of STRs, and coordinating builds and build schedules. Software lead for the development of the Surveillance SI for the JADGE Phase 1 development. E-3 ESM Database (EEDB) - Lead: Responsible for issues related to USAF, NATO and FAF ESM systems. Worked all EEDB issues for ten years, for both US and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs. ESC lead for the development of the initial EEDB for delivery to USAF and NATO as part of the overall ESM System Development. Secretary and ESC Co-Chairman, with NATO AWACS Program Management Administration (NAPMA), of the EEDB Working Group, a multi-national E-3 organization, which met regularly to address database and ESM software issues. This involved working with multiple USAF, NATO and FAF organizations (acquisition, intelligence, users, logistics and maintenance). Worked requirements definition, interface requirements, software and database releasability, and multi-national database coordination. USAF AWACS Step 1 Program - Team Test Lead: Coordinated and oversaw all hardware, software and system-level testing, including the Flight Test program. Reviewed and coordinated approval of contractor (Boeing) test activities. Responsible for the review of all test documentation. Interfaced with multiple USAF offices involved with these activities. This activity involved multiple flight tests and participation in major joint USAF-USN joint exercises, including the responsibility to provide and schedule test assets, and the managing of project funds for the entire test program.

Related program efforts included the Electronic Support Measures (ESM) program and the Radar System Improvement Program (RSIP). Responsible for all software-related efforts involving technical upgrades to the French E-3F AWACS, including requirements definition, design review, monitoring software development progress against project schedules and requirements, implementing corrective action plans, tracking software corrective action items, and reporting to USAF management (ESC/AWI). The technical areas included Airborne Mission Control and Radar software. US Air Force lead for all software issues, and liaison/coordinator to French Air Force. Responsible for review of software products and witness of software qualification tests. Team Lead for software FCA/PCA events which reviewed all software products, tests and documentation, and coordinated approval of software and documentation. Government lead for software IQT/FQT, developing software test plans and procedures, coordinating and leading reviews between contractor and French Air Force customer, and lead test as Government test director at FQT. Led software support for system and flight testing, including inputs and reviews of all test plans and procedures. Responsible for resolution of all E-3F software issues. Highly regarded by French customer, and was specifically requested to participate at all levels of the program. This included constant interaction with contractor (Boeing) and customer (French) personnel. Tasks involved significant domestic and foreign travel, including multiple 6-8 week assignments to Le Bourget and Bourges, France for Integration and Flight Test Programs. ESM Emitter Library File (ELF) Restructure Program; Performed software development tasks. This program was an all-software program enhancement for the ESM system on E-3 AWACS for USAF and NATO. Participated in operational mission software development and test, as well as all ground support software developed and/or modified on this program. Part of lead team in developing software requirements that were basis for contract. Post contract award, was lead software engineer for USAF during design and development, heading all technical reviews. Lead the Software FCA/PCA process and tasks, and developed and executed software data management and configuration control for both USAF and NATO software delivery. Software and System Test lead, coordinating all test functions for laboratory qualification and flight-testing activities, for both USAF and NATO test requirements. Conducted process reviews, documentation reviews and tracking of corrective actions for the full software cycle. These activities involved regular interfacing with the contractor (Boeing), as well as significant contacts with USAF and NATO. Integrated Contract (ICON) - Software and S/; This was a major upgrade to the US and NATO E-3 platforms. Performed full suite of software and SQA functions including site audits, reviews, corrective action processing, test witnessing and software configuration functions. Have worked with most Mil-Std standards related to software development, as well as ISO 900X.; - Worked IV&V development and testing for the MX missile project.
