CurrentQuick Disconnect Valves - Responsible for progressing two cryogenic valves, that are capable of rapid connection and disconnection for fuel filling and draining, through their development and production phases.- Collaborates with design, testing, manufacturing, and procurement teams to work towards the success of our valves.- Constructs and reviews written development and acceptance test procedures to qualify that valves satisfy functional requirements.- Assisted with and collected data for pressurized, leakage tests on valves chilled with liquid nitrogen and liquid helium.- Works with team members to develop fixtures for testing valves at low and high pressure, cryogenic environments.- Assembled a development valve composed of various components such as flanges, fasteners, springs, and lubricants.- Reviews SolidWorks drawings to verify part dimensions, tolerance stack ups, material & finish callouts, drawing notes, etc. - Revises Supplier Data Requirement List items such as corrosion prevention plans, oxygen compatibility reports, compliance matrixes, assembly procedures, and cleaning procedures.Gaseous Nitrogen System - Designs a pneumatic system composed of an extensive array of components such as relief valves, isolation valves, regulators, etc.- Verifies safety and assesses potential risks with failure mode, effects, and criticality analysis (FMECA), safety hazard analysis, and reliability analysis.- Conducted preliminary heat transfer analysis to validate the pneumatic system's thermal profile.- Collaborates with the project customer via weekly meetings to continuously improve and finalize designs.
