I would say that I have experience with people, getting to know them, and forming a connection with them. Over the years of working with alcohol people tell their stories and you know when they exaggerate their tales of woe and when they just need someone to listen. The stories unfold as I looked out the window of the store and the only dull moment that occurred was when I was by myself and no customers came in. There was once a time when a customer in a wheelchair required assistance exiting the shop and I looked to my colleague who had a smile on his face and he said, *go ahead there Frankie, I'll pack away." So without complaint, I helped her out the door by pushing her wheelchair. Though when I asked if she needed anything else I did not expect her to respond by saying "Could you bring me home". I couldn't refuse, I would have felt bad to leave her to go on her way so I brought her home thinking it was only around the corner. How wrong I was, as I brought her up the road and into her street which was more than 500 meters from the shop, and not only did bring her home but helped her out of her chair lifted her into her house, and put her back in it once I brought it through the door. Once she was in the living room I handed her her drinks and as I closed the door I left. I was gone for 25 minutes or so my colleague says as he burst into laughter and clapped and my dedication to going above and beyond.
