I have more than 20 years of experience in the defense industry, working for two Fortune 500 companies as a Systems Architect, Project Engineer, Systems Engineering manager, and proposal technical lead. I have experience working in all aspects of the product life cycle, including system design; requirements analysis, management and validation; hardware/software integration; production and system installation; and customer acceptance testing. I also have experience in different phases of business capture, including Black Hat reviews, cost estimating, proposal writing, and gate and color reviews. I am proficient in the use of DOORS, the Microsoft Office suite of tools, configuration management tools, and cost estimating tools. I have experience with System Modeling Language, MBSE, computer programming, and computer-aided design software packages. I also have several years of international experience having lived and worked in Spain, and supported projects for Norway, Israel, Germany, Canada, Chile, and Argentina.I started my engineering career as a Systems Engineer on the Aegis Combat System for Lockheed Martin, where I worked on developing missile guidance algorithms and missile flyout simulations, integrated weapon systems onto various naval platforms, and led test teams during missile flight tests and combat system integration. I culminated my 13-year career at Lockheed on the DDX-1000 program by serving as the lead Systems Engineer for development and integration of the EO/IR system on the Zumwalt-class for the next generation of guided missile destroyers. During my career, I supported various programs including a stint at the Navantia shipyard in Spain where I led the combat systems integration team on the Nansen-class frigates for the Royal Norwegian Navy, worked on the proposal team for the CVX-77, and served as the armament systems lead for the Littoral Combat Ship.After my career at Lockheed, I transitioned to AAI (now Textron Systems) and worked as the lead systems engineer for the US Army's Shadow Crew Trainer program. As of 2024, I have been with Textron Systems for 14 years serving various roles and having multiple responsibilities, including proposal technical lead on the Ship to Shore Connector training system and T-7A Maintenance Training System, Project Engineer on the C-17 WEST family of trainers, and lead Systems Engineer on BPMI programs.
