After graduating with a 2:2 in Human Geography from Swansea University, I undertook an intensive two-month course in documentary film making at the Met Film School in London. This has enabled me to develop an in-depth knowledge and understanding of people, cultures and how they interact in the world as well as develop my self-management, communication and team working skills. Being at the Met Film School has taught me the process of all levels of production and technical skills needed when making a documentary film. After I finished my course I spent two months with the British Exploring Society in Oman on an expedition. This allowed me to immerse myself in numerous scientific and media related projects in which I did my own independent research and filming, allowing me to actively use the skills and knowledge I have attained from my degree and course. In addition it gave me first hand experience in dealing with the operation of production from start to finish.
