Francis Ramirez-O'Shea (formerly Cordero Ramirez) is an Emmy nominated showrunner, producer, director, production manager and writer based in the Washington, D.C. area. She has over 16 years experience working in every phase of production for documentary television, films, and digital content. Francis has a passion for working on projects about culture, natural history, conservation, history, and social justice issues. She has produced projects that have filmed on every continent except Antarctica.Francis has partnered with several independent production companies and has grown a nationally and international network of production contractors she trust.  She has worked on projects that have appeared on National Geographic Channels, PBS, The Smithsonian Channel, The Smithsonian Institute Museums, Howard Hughes Medical Institute, ESPN, Conde Nast, and independent docs that have screened at various festivals around the world.Francis also enjoys volunteering her producing and photography skills for non-profits to incorporate visual storytelling for social justice advocacy.In 2021, Francis founded Alta Gracia Media Productions(named after her mother). Through AGMP, she has produced content for the Smithsonian's Molina Family Latina Gallery in the National Museum of American History and most recently as the Co-Executive Producer for the Emmy nominated series Italy, Made With Love which aired on PBS and distributed by Off The Fence.
