It started with designing and creating stage sets for venues in Sussex at the age 15 and by the time I was 18 had over a dozen productions under my belt.Although looking back on 20 years in manufacturing when I left College now seems dull in comparison to the events I produce now I have my then mentors to thank for allowing me to ‘Create’ quality systems, training systems and developing as a specialist in each area of company management from warehouse, customer service, production and sales. My MD at the time took much joy in introducing me as ‘the guy who he would parachute in to fix a department’, whilst also enjoying time as a Dale Carnegie team leader winning the coveted Highest Award for Achievement.Fighting my way through the tough times of the 2008 recession landed me the dream break. Children were successfully grown up so responding to a call to set up a warehouse locally for 2012 Olympics in 2010, a what would become a rather large event, it all made sense - I was Creative Technology’s new LED Operations Manager.After 12 months the new 2012 Olympic ready warehouse was complete whilst continuing to manage LED screens for the annual Elton John cricket ground tours, Wimbledon for the LTA, Glastonbury, Reading, and Leeds Festivals, Strictly, Saturday night take away and the list goes on. All of the major outdoor events, arena tours and indoor tv shows were covered.In 2012 my now career defining moment was watching Mo Farrah crossing the line on super Saturday winning the 10,000 meters Gold medal - on the Olympic Stadium LED screen.So, in 2014 with all that knowledge and experience of events I rejuvenated Crown Events Ltd as Sales and Production Director to produce unique live events. Battle of Lewes annual festival, Son et Lumiere’s celebrating Centenary’s, Anniversaries, Heritage, History, Christmas, and the future.Today I have worked with the same team who produced the projections on Buckingham Palace for the Platinum Jubilee. We have a great music/festival venue in Lewes, East Sussex, and are happy to share our knowledge to help make your event a success too.
