Ponte is a non-profit association that creates bridges between young migrants and Portuguese society by strengthening inclusive education. We currently have three areas of activity: 1) Portuguese A0: an introductory course to the Portuguese language and social practices, delivered to newly arrived young migrants before they are enrolled in school who are illiterate or have no previous contact with the Latin alphabet. 2) Inclusive education consulting for schools3) Training and capacity building for education professionals.At the present moment, we are working with unaccompanied minors in Lisbon.

Teach for Portugal aims to lower educational inequalities in underpriviledged contexts, helping children achieve their maximum potential and finding paths for personal fulfillment and community improvement.Classroom co-teaching, in partnership with school teachers, at Agrupamento de Escolas Matilde Rosa Araújo, Cascais.Creation and development of curricular and extracurricular activities with the objective of developing their skills and competences - among them: academic results, metacognition, self-awareness and leadership.

Five-week theoretical and practical training in preparation for the Leadership Development Programme.During these 5 weeks I held training by Teach For Portugal and Teach For All with focus on get to know the education system in Portugal, educational inequality, school and classroom culture, communication, lesson and activity planning, feedback, models of collaboration in the classroom and community intervention.In the last 3 weeks of the Teach For Portugal Academy I had the opportunity to apply in practice what I learned, conducting classes and activities for children (from 6 to 16 years old), teaching contents of English.
