As a Communications Coordinator at the Daurama Foundation and founder of the SiisiiRed Initiative, I am passionate about using creative advocacy and strategic communications to drive social impact and empower underserved communities. My work focuses on promoting health, education, and gender equality through innovative programs, impactful storytelling, and meaningful stakeholder engagement.In my role at Daurama Foundation, I develop and execute comprehensive communications strategies that amplify the organization’s mission. From crafting advocacy campaigns to managing media relations, I design content and events that inspire change. Highlights include:• Developing a digital advocacy toolkit for International day of the girl child 2024, adopted by multiple organizations.• Planning and executing a health campaign in Abuja for World Health Day 2024 that provided free health checks to over 200 businesspeople in areas.• Leading menstrual health education campaigns, including the World Menstrual Hygiene Day event where I taught students my original SiisiiRed Period Song to promote healthy period management.• Managing the premiere of Voices Within, a docudrama commemorating 16 Days of Activism, which attracted high-profile attendees such as the National Programme Officer of UN Women and the Belgian Ambassador to Nigeria.As the founder of SiisiiRed Initiative, I work to break the stigma around menstruation and promote menstrual health education. Through creative advocacy, we’ve impacted over 1,000 young girls, providing menstrual supplies and creating awareness through programs such as:• Crimson Collectibles: A literary competition where girls used prose, poetry, and drama to share their experiences, fostering open dialogue on menstruation.• Conversations, Period: A docuseries showcasing intergenerational perspectives on menstruation.• Advocacy videos and educational campaigns, empowering communities with knowledge on menstrual hygiene.I am also a Global Youth Ambassador at Theirworld, advocating for education on a global stage.
