- Work closely with the Project Manager to define deadlines for the new components to be developed, and distribute the tasks among the team- Evaluate the risks in the application and define a plan for preventing and correcting them- Maintain a shared local environment where multiple tests from the whole team could be done- Call for multiple meetings between the team and the project manager to present the incoming changes to be done and the existing problems discovered in the application- Understand the evolving requirements and needs from the internal business users- Implement the new requirements and changes according to the business guidelines and the internal European Commission policies- Develop J2EE compliant code to be deployed on Web Logic servers- Constantly propose and define new standards to help addressing the different tasks among the team in a more efficient way, like the distribution of the workload according to each team member skills, the assessment of the estimations and the definition of best practices to be followed among the team- Work closely with different teams that provide our team different services from (EJBs and Web Services) to create a quick integration with such systems, and in case of any problem, help them identify them to avoid any failure on our application- Document all the new implementations with the technical manuals, sequence, class and use case diagrams

Help to develop different applications using java web technology

• Design new templates to evaluate the developed applications• Evaluate the development processes• Define a skill baseline to measure the knowledge of every team member based on the applications where they were working and the tools they were using• Define training paths to be followed by every member based on the technologies they used• Help on the preparation part of the documentation to be used in the CMM5 certification version 1.2• Set up a document repository (ALFRESCO) to maintain all the internal documentation• Create and maintain a backup tool to ensure all the internal documents were safely backed up. A log containing the frequency and details of the backups was automatically sent by mail• Ensured that a testing environment was always available for the whole team to test all the new changes on their applications and the proof of concepts to be presented to the customers.

I was the search team application leader at Softtek. Organizing the people to handle all the work we received from our main customer GE, and helping our customer to have the bests solutions in the search area, by using Fast search engine to provide all GE wide with search services.
