NEEM FEUP is a youth association, founded in 2016, which promotes the interests of FEUP's 1,100 Bachelor's and Master's students in Mechanical Engineering (L.EM and M.EM).Since then, we have played a key role in their development as people and future workers.We are committed to enriching our students' academic journey, both on the educational side, with lectures, workshops, company visits and even technical competitions, and on the recreational side, with events where socialising and relaxation are our top priorities.

As a part-time job during my studies, I work in the university auditorium as a technician, organising and hosting various events, from small local affairs to large international conferences, along with diferent students from my faculty.This allows me to aqquire soft skills such as organisation and communication,

Commercial Special TIres Department;My project involved the creation and development (SolidWorks) of a mechanism focused on optimising a production process. For its effective realisation, it was required close collaboration with operators, technicians, and engineers, as well as hands-on experience on the factory floor to gain a deep understanding of all the processes involved.

Class Monitor of the course "Mechanical Engineering Manufacturing", related to the first year of the bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.The objectives of this curricular component were:• Development of standardization concepts in Mechanical Engineering Drawing.• Improvement of spatial visualization and technical communication skills.• Introduction to design drawing.• Introduction to the functional analysis of mechanical systems with the detail drawing of some components.• Development of the ability to establish relationships between the design, product definition, manufacturing and verification phases.This experience allowed me to improve not only my skills in technical drawing and mechanical manufacturing, but also my leadership, responsibility and communication skills

In the summer of 2023, I had the opportunity to spend my days at Proef's Fixed Networking office, where I was actively involved in the development of telecommunications projects. My work included using designing tools (AutoCAD) and bid Data sheets to achieve the project demands.This experience was invaluable to my growth as an aspire engineering, as it marked my first integration into a corporate office environment.

This project was realized in the course unit of Experimental and Computational Project, of the 3rdyear of my Mechanical Engineering Degree.Topology Optimization is a widely spoken study of structural optimization that has been growing throughout the years. This was a study of additive manufacturing of components obtained by Topology Optimization using Abaqus and MATLAB, using data-driven solutions to find the most effective design for a body.This allowed me to acquire a global vision of a real engineering problem solving process, fostering the use of new softwares and their particularities.

The ENEEM - National Meeting of Mechanical Engineering Students - is an annual event that aims to bring together all students of Mechanical Engineering in the country. In 2023, between 22 and 25 March, ENEEM took place in Porto, more specifically in FEUP, being NEEM FEUP responsible for its organization.The event, besides the gathering that it promoted among students from all over the country, presented a series of lectures from prestigious members of the mechanical engineering community, several workshops to enrich knowledge and a job fair, the usual ConnectinGears, which had more than 50 companies!In this event, I had the opportunity to work in a team of 5 elements dedicated to all the logistics associated with an event of this magnitude, with more than 250 participants and 50 companies! This experience allowed me to acquire many skills, from organization to communication, teamwork, responsibility, adaptability, among others, ending up being one of the most enriching experiences that I was part of.
