Assisted on running tests to verify the axles tensile strength, hardness, ductility and research alternatives for production. -Machines: Learned how to setup and operate hobs, CNC mills, saws, and pressers. Worked with induction hardening and furnace heat treatment.-Techniques: Inspected finished parts with bore, caliper, gage block, plug/go-no go, and snap gauges. Inspected hardening on finished parts using a Brinell hardness machine. Cleaned machined grooves in shafts from a nickel coating with nitric acid.
