As a collector at Gatestone, the first step was to locate customers using credit bureau information, background checks, loan documents, other paperwork or databases. I was responsible for reaching out to borrowers to explain opportunities available to them to solve overdue student loans. I acted as the liaison between the Department of Education and borrowers providing options and offering benefits and programs base on their income to bring, loan current while following federal and state laws in dealing with debt collection.
