Francisco Godinho is a sound designer and self-taught electronic music composer based in Sintra, Portugal. With a high school background in Science and Technologies, a university degree course in Sound and Image, followed by an internship as a sound technician assistant at Centro Cultural Olga Cadaval (having worked there the following two years after its conclusion), his attention shifted shortly after to a different career based on what he always loved exploring and creating since his early teens: sound design.In late 2014 he founded his own studio, Sonic Bat. He's now a highly active sound designer working primarily on video games, animated movies and shorts, always looking forward to new, innovative and exciting projects. His recent ventures on the creation of sound libraries have garnered the attention of sound editors working for HBO, Netflix, amongst others, where some of his work has been heard on prominent TV shows and movies, as well as being featured regularly on sound effects stores' top sellers. Since 2021 he’s also been working as a beta tester and preset designer for Glitchmachines’ plug-ins.He's also known for his work in electronic music and the ability to approach many different genres, having albums, collaborations, remixes and soundtracks released on many European and American labels under the moniker XZICD, while also regularly touring throughout Europe on many music festivals. With over 15 years of experience in this field, he's also fluent in music production, mastering, post-production, audio repair and mixing with both hardware and software.
