Mr. King holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the Monterrey Institute of Technology in Mexico, a Master’s degree with distinction in Systems and Management from Lancaster University (UK) and a diploma on Foreign Trade and International Business from the Autonomous Technological Institute of Mexico in Mexico.His professional experience lies in the fields of management optimization in organizations, performance measurement and project management. He has been engaged with logistics and customs matters with emphasis on imports and exports, customs regulations and compliance, free trade agreements and HS classification.He is a licensed Mexican customs broker since 1990, operating in several customs ports at the US-Mexico border, on the Gulf of Mexico and on the Pacific coast. He is the CEO of Servicios Aduanales y Logisticos, S.C., a customs brokerage company in Mexico and President of International Warehouses of Brownsville, Inc., a freight forwarding and warehousing company in Texas, USA.He participated in the National Executive Committee of the Mexican National Customs Brokers Association, CAAAREM, from 2001 to 2010. During this time, he was instrumental in the design and implementation of electronic transmissions of customs declarations by Customs Brokers to the Tax Administration Service. In 2007, he was elected president of CAAAREM for the 2007- 2009 period. He has also participated in the Board of the International Federation of Customs Brokers Associations, IFCBA, since 2005 and was elected IFCBA Chair from 2010-2012. As an IFCBA delegate, Mr. King has participated in the Private Sector Consultative Group, PSCG, at the World Customs Organization since 2010. In September 2017, Mr. King was elected as Vice-Chair of the PSCG.Mr. King has participated in several international events on customs matters in several countries in the world.
