The Innovation Leaders Residency is supporting current employees of financial authorities in roles such as supervisors, examiners, data scientists, statisticians, economists, and other related positions through a 12-month part-time, remote programme.

• Lead the development of +15 risk-based supervisory frameworks and methodologies, including Conducted Risk and Culture, Pension Funds, Trust Funds, Securities Market Companies, Financial Conglomerates, and others.• Guide the development and implementation of the process to build methodologies in order to improve quality assurance and increase customer satisfaction by 90%.• Participate in regional Crisis Simulation Exercises (Chile, Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay) to get best practices to prepare for crisis scenarios.• Represent Colombia in two international organizations: the OECD Corporate Governance and Financial Markets Committees and the IOPS Risk-Based Supervision working group.

• Developed and implemented the new risk-based supervision methodology for the Colombian financial institutions.• Developed and changed the internal structure (human resources, working styles, processes, and performance indicators) of the SFC to adapt to the new methodology.

• Developed and implemented the supervision methodology for around 120 foreign subsidiaries of the Colombian financial conglomerates, which account for 20% of the assets in Central America.• Supervised the corporate governance and financial reports of the main conglomerates (for example, ABN AMRO, HSBC, Mapfre, Allianz, BBVA, BVC, among others).• Granted “The Best Employee at the Analyst Level” award (2008) a scholarship to study Risk Management and Control of Financial Institutions.

Design and conduct two courses called Risk-based Supervision and Case Analysis for a population of15 students every semester.
