Second in command for a Motor Transportation Company responsible for the safe employment of logistics teams and the expedient delivery of supplies to various end users. Responsible for the training, development and readiness of 150 Marines within the Company.Major Contributions:- Planned and coordinated the logistical requirements to support the operating forces for the first and largest multi-service level exercise the Marine Corps has ever conducted. - Created a standard operating procedure for the Motor Transportation Company, standardizing practices across the company and battalion ensuring future success in and out of the battlefield.

Responsible for the pre-deployment and deployment of 58 Marines to the United States & Mexican Border in order to aid the United States Customs and Border patrol with the surveillance and reporting of illegal trafficking at the border.Major Contributions:- Planned, coordinated and executed a pre-deployment plan in a condensed time period for 58 Marines, preparing them for a 3 month deployment to the U.S. / Mexico border. - Liaised with 2 Customs and Border Patrol Agencies in order to successfully man 6 Mobile Surveillance Sights, spanning over 100 miles worth of obscure terrain for over 90 consecutive days, operating 24 hours a day. Resulting in over 11,000 hours of Mobile Surveillance operations and over 840 apprehensions of individuals illegally trying to gain entry into the United States.- Created a Transportation Standard Operating Procedure for the platoon, that resulted in over 50,000 accident-free miles driven over the course of 3 months.

Responsible for a platoon of 50 Marines, functioning within the organization’s transportation department, including motor transport, materials handling, landing support, embarkation, freight/passenger transportation, aerial delivery, and port and terminal operations.Major Contributions:-Planned, coordinated and executed the conduct of 6 tactical movements resulting in the transfer of over $650,000 worth of gear, the movement of 50 passangers in support of 5 different operations, totaling the execution of over 1,500 accident free road miles. -Maintained accountability of and supervised the 1st echelon maintenance of (49) Principle End Items valued at over $10,000,000.

Responsible for oversight of the battalion’s safety and environmental program. Provide guidance of all safety and environmental matters to the Battalion Commander. Create and implement policies to ensure OSHA and state regulation compliance. Directly supervised 8 personnel.Major Contributions:-Created a Battalion Safety and Environmental Program standard operating procedure that ensured the highest level of compliance during the Commanding Generals Inspection, to include noteworthy mention of both programs for outstanding safe practices and no high risk findings.

Led, trained, and mentored 10 Marines in the Maintenance Management section. Supervised all maintenance management related matters. Held weekly briefings with the battalion leadership in order to disseminate information on critical issues or trends. Served as a direct advisor to the Battalion Commander on equipment readiness and operational capabilities. Planned and supervised the conduct of internal inspections to ensure compliance with all published maintenance management orders, policies and directives.Major Contributions: -Ensured the maintenance management section was prepared and compliant during the biennial commanding generals inspection and the Field Supply and Maintenance Analysis Office (FSMAO) inspection, to include noteworthy mentions during the commanding generals inspection and no medium or high risk findings during FSMAO. -Created an 8-quarter spending plan for deficiencies in missing or required gear and parts, that prioritize the needs of the battalion, resulting in a higher state of readiness and saving the battalion millions of dollars on parts.

Attended The Basic School - The Officer Basic Course lasts 28 weeks, during which new officers receive classroom, field, and practical application training on weapons, tactics, leadership and protocol. The course is split into three graded categories; Leadership, Academics, and Military Skills.

Officer Candidate School screens potential officers using a program designed to test and assess the candidates by using the three graded categories of Academics, Leadership, and Physical Fitness. This includes evaluated events such as the leadership reaction course (LRC) and small unit leader evaluation (SULE).[ The Period of Instruction (POI) is divided into must pass events, such as hikes and the Endurance Course, and purely graded events that factor into one of the three graded categories, such as LRC and SULE. Candidates must maintain a minimum of 80% in Academics, Leadership, and Physical Fitness to graduate, as well as passing all the mandatory pass/fail events such as the Endurance Course.
