Lead Responsible Design Engineer For Many Complex Digital Units
CurrentResponsible to ensure the functional performance of complex units from initial design to unit delivery to next higher assembly. Led and managed cross-functional teams, including Product Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Verification, FPGA, and Manufacturing. Collaborated closely with manufacturing to ensure the successful development of EM (Engineering Mode) and Flight Plugins for integration into EM and Flight Units. Developed test plans and coordinated all necessary resources for hardware testing. Collaborated with the Systems Engineering and Verification teams to ensure units met requirements, documented capabilities, and achieved overall performance goals. Led and coordinated with SPM and Test Engineering to plan sequences for executing production work to meet schedule deadlines. Led the Verification Team and served as the Responsible System Engineer in defining tests to ensure optimal unit performance during all environmental testing. Coordinated and led team meetings to obtain status updates on verification, manufacturing, and customer demonstrations. Met with the customer to provide updates on unit development and identify opportunities for cost and schedule relief when needed. Work with engineering team to troubleshoot and find solutions to complex design issues.
