The Quality Engineer develops, evaluates, revises and applies technical quality protocols/methods to inspect, test and evaluate raw material, in-process materials, and finished products. Ensures compliance with internal and external specifications and standards such as ISO regulations. - Ensure raw material and finished goods meet defined acceptance criteria- Assist operations in continuous improvement by establishing, monitoring and driving improvements to key process indicators such as Defects per Unit through MAAR charts and use of quick problem solving- Perform process, product and data analysis to develop continuous improvement plans, corrective and preventive actions- Perform, document and communicate audits of the systems, materials and personnel in the factory with regard to all quality requirements- Support manufacturing when quality issues are identified through investigation, and analysis - Review manufacturing documentation and make improvement recommendations to the document owner. - Oversee installation of major electrical and control equipment in the construction of new oil & gas facility.- Verify that subcontractor building the facility as per “ready for construction” drawings, and specs.- Coordinate and participate in the daily Simultaneous Operations (SIMOPS), and & Permit to Work (PTW) meetings to ensure the company requirements.- Lead Safety Meeting/Tool Box, ensuring all related topics HSE are clearly understood. - Ensure Behavior Based Safety (BBS) is understood, that even Chevron employees and Contractor are keeping daily records, and they are reporting BBS, as well as their safety commitment giving importance to the most relevant BBS which should be discussed during the toolbox meeting. - Maintain electrical Safety workplace as well as housekeeping standards, in the construction site as per Chevron policies, and NFPA-70E, NFPA-79. - Provide day-to-day supervisory communications link between site supervision, construction representative, and construction manager. - Responsible for commissioning & Start-Up of Major Electrical, Instrumentation, and Automation Equipment, procedures meet the Chevron expectation.- Responsible that PSSR punch list or action items are addressed properly.- Ensure all Isolation Schemes during the Commissioning, and Start-Up, acting as Isolation Authority- Communicate and ensure the contractor understand the SOW, their roles, responsibilities, the applicable standards, and the CHEVRON Health, Safety and Environmental commitment expectations to ensure performance through leadership, coaching, development and effective use of performance feedback of Operational Excellence elements (OE).- Responsible for counseling, coaching, training, and development of national engineers in diverse areas to raise their level of competence as per Chevron Policies.- Ensure Management of Change (MOC) process is followed and generate MOCs as required, maintaining all “As-Built” documentation.
