I am an electrical engineering student at the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez, specializing in power systems with a strong interest in solving challenges in aerospace and sustainable energy. My experience spans various projects and internships where I’ve focused on electrical systems design, control systems, and energy management.During my Coop at NASA Glenn Research Center, I worked on hybrid electric aircraft control systems, leveraging MATLAB and Simulink to optimize simulations and test failure procedures. I’ve also led the electrical system design for a CubeSat project, focusing on sensor-triggered switches, solar energy generation, and load management.In addition, I am actively contributing to the Autonomous Vehicle (AV) Team Project, where I help design the rover’s power system, calculate battery usage under different loads, and manage safety features through power distribution boards and fuse boxes.I had the privilege of leading the Power and Electrical Systems division for NASA's RASC-AL competitions, where my team developed sustainable power systems for lunar and Martian habitats. We earned first place in the lunar evolution category in 2024. These experiences have strengthened my expertise in power distribution, solar systems, energy storage, and control systems.I’m proficient in power system design, solar energy systems, and simulation tools such as MATLAB and Simulink. My goal is to continue applying my skills to contribute to innovative projects in the aerospace and sustainable energy industries.
