Uvault, a truly private universal access digital identity In a nutshell, Uvault solves the problem of bringing comfort and trust to facial recognition through focusing on convenience and an empowered privacy solution. It offers a hygienic alternative to access management, user conveniences of being able to be recognized by various companies in a truly private way, and a compliance solution to having to store sensitive face data. Description Uvault is a user-centric privacy company focused on facial recognition technology. The vision is to empower users through both owning and controlling their face data while improving adoption of facial recognition and user experience. Users store their face data in a centralized database with Uvault, and companies can subscribe to Uvault to access this data. Using a simple interface, users are able to share their face data with employers and various other companies (eg. an airline, gym, hotel) for the purposes of easy identification and authentication, while having full transparency of which companies they've shared this with and for what purposes. Users are also able to revoke permissions, as the face data is never really stored by the companies accessing it. The business model allows companies to offer a hygienic and convenient solution to access management in the form of facial recognition, while steering clear of storing sensitive face data, and the regulatory obligations (GDPR) that go with it.
