I am responsible for the Planning and Reliability Sections within the Mine Maintenance department. Presently, my key responsibilities are:● Planning: Achieving better Total and PM work order schedule compliance and long term planning.● Reliability: RCA on major fleet downtime factors and cost saving projects.

Key responsibilities: ● Set and manage the overall activities, goals, training and performances of five Engineering Sections● Implement preventive maintenance programs and procedures for mobile and static equipment● Produce monthly reports on equipment availability and other KPI’s● Control of maintenance costs, within company budgets● Coordination with the logistics Dpt. on the management of spare parts/stock levels● Continuous improvement on Health and Safety practices/procedures at work

(*) I acted as the Engineering Manager during his time off work (3 weeks every 6 weeks)___________________________Main responsibilities: • Set up a new Reliability Section based on Tribology, Thermography and Vibration Analysis, to implement the OEE for a 500TPH process plant, four excavators PC4000D, over twenty dump truck HD1500, six track dozers D375A, Atlas Copco drill rigs (DML & ROC-L8) among other mining equipment• Set up an integrated reporting system to monitor equipment KPI’s, maintained by company and MARC (subcontractors) technical staff• Managed weekly/monthly reports on equipment availability, MTBF MTTR and other KPI’s • Directed the review and validation of existing asset BOM’s, including the critical spares list and (Min-Max) stock levels, in line with the OEM recommendations• Optimized the 500TPH process plant PM and PdM programs based on the existing CMMS

• Managed the overall activities and performances of five Engineering Sections • Improved existing planned maintenance programs and procedures for plants (50 to 150 TPH) and mobile equipment such as: CAT 385CL; CAT 740ADT; CAT 966H• Produced monthly reports on equipment availability and costs• Managed stock levels for spare parts, within company budget• Introduced the Continuous Improvement Process mainly to implement working practices and safety standards

 2004 – 2008 PRODUCTION AND ENGINEERING MANAGER • Supervised the overall performances of production processes and quality of products• In charge of all aspects of maintenance operations and engineering improvements • Produced monthly and annual management reports (Production and Engineering KPI’S)• Responsible for producing and implementing a lean manufacturing training programme as part of the company’s continuous improvement policy• Perform regular risk assessments to the premises, plant and equipment• Enforcement of relevant Health and Safety standards• Liaising with sub-contractors and suppliers  2001 – 2004 MAINTENANCE MANAGER• Responsible for dealing with day to day reliability aspects of the production machinery• Streamlining engineering and cost reduction• Responsible for equipment improvement projects, from design through to completion • Introduced and developed an approach to Proactive maintenance and TPM principles

• As a maintenance engineer/manager I helped to improve plant efficiency utilising machine breakdown data analysis for 19 transfer presses, operating 24 hours a day.

I was responsible for running the engineering static equipment section which involved:• The Preventing Maintenance program of five PT (Pre-Treatment) and DMS (Dense Media Separation) plants. These plants were spread over a twenty-mile radius and operated 24/7;• Other responsibilities involved supervision and appraisal of twenty-five expatriate technicians;• I also had the privilege of running two training courses for new Angolan maintenance technician employees.
