This multinational company based in Albacete is dedicated to the manufacture of composites. I was in charge of supporting and improving a department with two vessels where the main chemical compounds the site consumes are produced.In addition, I also worked on some other tasks of Continuos Improvement in order to reduce the scrap and improve the productivity.

Process Engineer in a multinational company, leader in the manufacture of composites for, mainly, the aerospace industry. Some tasks as part of my role as a Process Engineer in a department with 3 production plants were:- Preparation of documentation (work instructions, process parameters, etc), according to the existing procedures ISO/AS 9100.- Calculate BOMs (list of materials) for each product and update them in the system AX2012.- Improvement and optimisation of the process in terms of scrap and times.- Quality assurance.- Resolution of customer complaints and non conformities.- Trials in the shop floor in order to test new materials, products, equipment and process parameters.In addition to the day to day duties, some of them described above, I was also responsible for the completion of some projects within the process. The most relevant ones are:- August 2015: Engineer in charge of the commissioning of a new chemical plant whose cost was more than € 24 M. Qualification batches were also made under my supervision.- January 2016 - October 2018: Engineer in charge of the set up and optimisation of the vision systems used for inspection (ISRA VISION SMASH), installed in each one of the 3 production lines. The approximate cost of each system is € 150 K. - February 2017 – June 2018: As part of the requirements to obtain the certification in Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma, I have worked on a project consisting on reducing the scrap level from a specific part of the process using several tools in Minitab and, among others, implementing automatic SPC (Statistical Process Control) graphs. Upon completion of the project in June 2018, the overall savings are above £50K.Techniques and methods used: HAZOP, FMEA, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, ERP.

My job consisted of putting, following, processing and purifying each reaction needed in a certain work-plan to get the required final compounds. I am able to use many types of column chromatography machines (ISOLERA, HORIZON) employing different polarity mixture solvents. I employ techniques like TLC and HPLC and I am used to doing typical laboratory’s work. I am specially familiarized with organic chemistry.
