Worked on the TAC Server Virtualization team, which is responsible for handling various Cisco customer's service requests about UCS technologies. These service requests are usually about:- Misconfiguration issues when setting up UCS servers and/or domains;- Misconfiguration issues during or after OS installation on UCS servers;- Hardware issues on UCS equipment;- Bugs or problem root cause analysis.During my day to day I'm in contact with the following technologies:- UCS Manager- UCS Central- Cisco CIMC (for standalone UCS C server management)- Intersight- VMWare ESXi- VMWare vCenter- Microsoft ServerDuring my time in Cisco, I've had the possibility of developing side projects unrelated to my main role, with the intent of growing in other areas as well. Some of these projects are:- Developed multiple Python scripts that receive customer device logs as input and automate bug detection and data parsing. The output of these modules/scripts helped TAC engineers around the world;- Developed a Python application that allows for the extraction of interface counters on multiple device types (Fabric Interconnect, IOM and Server VIC adapter), and then displays the information in graphs for further analysis.
