    First starting as an enthusiastic Technical Consultant I progressed to a Team Leader position in just 3 months within this amazing communication centre.What happened?Suddenly I became the leader for a team counting 17 people, with eleven Agents, three Product Specialists and three Level 2 / Trainers. Our client is Procter & Gamble.As a Team Leader my role is all about supervising the day to day operations of the team, making certain everyone is doing their best, distributing the workload and ensuring motivation and high performance levels.When I first arrived to the account the attrition levels were really high (up to 60%), team motivation was under minimums and the Service Level and KPIs targets had not been met for several months in a row.My personal approach was to manage the almost entirely newly hired team with a much more flexible attitude, transparency on the decisions, confidence and trust in my people as a high commitment to the company procedures, allowing the agents to develop a feeling of ownership on the results. All of these resulted on:- Reduction to 0% on attrition levels. Where none of the employees has left during my direction or is thinking of leaving (controllable reasons). After hiring the best possible candidates.- Increase of up to 25% in team productivity and up to 35% in some individual cases.- Raised Service Levels more than 30% and maintaining this level 10% higher than the requested targets for many months.- Created a realistic Plan to achieve all our targets on time, involving key stakeholders.- Increase Team motivation, commitment to the company and improvement of team environment. Which resulted in an outstanding customer satisfaction with results over 90% for many months in a row.Lesson learned?- Everybody can improve with the right motivation and understanding.- Hard work is always rewarded in one way or another, I not only gained the trust of the senior management but the respect from my people.

    Eyedak is an amazing technological company that intends to create the first affordable Virtual Reality device for Smartphones, bringing simple powerful solutions to the market.The experience in Eyedak was something out of this world. When I entered the team it was not more than an idea and a very very very simple prototype. I had the pleasure to work with an incredible group of people that showed me so much that I could never be grateful enough about the experience.We created a company from scratch. My law master guided me through paperwork and administrative procedures to register the company, start patenting the idea and protect it. As you can imagine, many legal documents had to be created so I had to sit down and learn “how to” in no time.Once we created a viable business plan and developed the idea, we went to the market to test the idea through a crowd-funding platform. After two infernal months working 80 hours a week to do the biggest media campaign we could with very little money, we were proudly successful.At this stage, the design team and the engineers started to create the new design, while I focused 100% of my time to find a manufacturer big enough to manage large volumes of units in the shortest doable timescales. What was my surprise after some networking when I got contacted by the second biggest manufacturer in the world to have lunch. I do not have words to describe how much the business development guy helped us move the project forward.Once we had the backup of the manufacturer it became much easier to find a distributor for Europe and more importantly, an investor willing to invest a seven figures sum into our project.What could I possible have learnt from this experience?- Everything I know about business.- It was not the idea but the team perseverance that brought us so far.- Planning ahead and having a clear vision leads to business success.- And so much more that I would need to sit down with you to explain.

There were very hard moments, but it was worth every single effort and mistake.The company was starting to take off very slowly when I was offered to enter the Eyedak team, so a bigger project, a full team and success were awaiting, I had to give it a try. It was not any more being involved in something on my own but join other people to grow with. I was already on the path which led me where I am today, still eager to do my best, to learn more and to improve any situation. If we tend to perfection, trying to reach it is the most satisfying challenge to take professionally.
